Fashion designer Anine Bing receives the Eliason Merit Award 2016!

Fashion designer and entrepreneur Anine Bing will be receiving the prestigious Eliason Merit Award (EMA) in Los Angeles, CA on Dec 8th 2016. She receives the award for her ability to successfully raise Sweden’s profile within the fashion industry and significantly contributing to strengthening Swedish-American relations.
The Eliason Merit Award is an exclusive annual red-carpet event hosted by The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles (SACC-LA). The award honors individuals and businesses that have contributed significantly to strengthening Swedish- American relations within the areas of commerce, culture, science and arts. Previous winners of the EMA include Tove Lo, Joel Kinnaman and Steve Angello among others. The Exclusive event is attended by Swedish/Scandinavian and Ameri- can celebrities, influencers and press representatives and other high-profile guests.
Event format
EMA2016 is taking place at Jonathan Beach Club, a private members club located on the shores of Santa Monica with panoramic views of the pacific ocean. The evening includes red carpet arrivals and an intimate award ceremonial dinner followed by an exclusive VIP reception in the award winners honor.

The decision to award Anine Bing this year’s Eliason Merit Award came out of a unanimous vote from the SACC-LA Board of Directors. “Anine Bing represents what the Eliason Merit Award is all about and I am beyond excited to be able to announce this year’s winner,” says Gudrun Giddings, President and Chair of SACC-LA. “She has a remarkable ability to create fashion that inspires a global audience, showcasing Sweden’s superb creativity worldwide”.
