William Byagård – Finance & Accounting Marketing Manager

William Byagard is SACC-LA’s Finance & Accounting Marketing Manager. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics with an emphasis on Finance in June 2019 from Lund University, Sweden. He has studied as an exchange student in California twice, once as a high school junior and once as a third year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He loves the California sunshine as well as meeting new people. He is looking forward to combining his love for both Sweden and the US through his new position and meeting as many SACC-LA members as possible. 

Throughout William’s studies, he worked as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader where he was able to assist first year business students in improving their academic results. The position made him appreciate the importance of teamwork and leadership, as he was responsible for collaborating with other SI-leaders weekly to design and teach lessons. He also previously worked as a consultant at a PR agency where he was in charge of event planning and marketing. With his strong work ethic and excellent communication skills he excelled in this position and was able to smoothly run many events.

These skills translate to any project William applies himself to and he is looking forward to implementing them in his position as SACC – LA’s Finance and Marketing Manager. He is extremely happy to be back in the United States and to be a part of such an incredible organization.
