Olsons Scandinavian Delicatessen in Los Angeles is looking for a part-time Consulting Chef. The candidate Must have a passion for Scandinavian cooking, and preferably be from Scandinavia. 
We are looking for someone who can help us develop our recipes, menu and direction, as well as to support and inspire the team.
Experience:

  • Culinary School Degree and a minimum 5 years professional restaurant experience and proven success with menu engineering, menu refreshes, and seasonal changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to developed systems, recipes, food safety plans and operating standards, and food service concept
  • Valid Los Angeles County Food Handling Certificate required
  • Ability to manage to a budget and control costs on food
  • Demonstrated skill in handling multiple tasks and highly organized

About You:

  • You live in the Greater Los Angeles area
  • You’re available to work flexible hours as an independent contractor/consultant
  • You must have a valid visa to work in the US.

Olsons Scandinavian Delicatessen in Los Angeles is also looking for a part-time/full-time Prep Cook. The candidate Must have 1-2 years experience in this area of work, and preferably have a passion for Scandinavian cooking. Being from Scandinavia, or having Scandinavian heritage is a PLUS!
You will assist the chef and help with all the preparations for the daily cooking, as well as daily maintenance of the kitchen.
We are looking for someone who is helpful, personable, self-going, responsible and dependable.
You must have a valid visa to work in the US.
